Job Advert Summary
An opportunity has arisen for a high calibre Driver
Trainer to look after the Training needs at our Tulisa Park Depo. The Driver
Trainer is responsible for on-route training of drivers, continuous driver
development and the inspection of vehicles on a regular basis to ensure that minimum
standards are upheld. Please review the minimum requirements, duties and

Minimum Requirements
• Grade 12 or Equivalent
• 10 - 15 years experience in the transport industry
• Valid unendorsed Code EC and PrDP (DGP)
• Medically Fit
• Own reliable transport
• Ability to read and write in English
• Good communication Skills
• Computer Literacy

• Knowledge of Road Traffic Act and relevant

Duties & Responsibilities
• Liaise with L&D Manager to develop long and
short term training plans
• Present training to learners on course content.
• Explain and discuss content with
learners/attendees.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training according
to TETA requirements
• Continuously assessing current and prospective
drivers competencies and improve on shortcomings
• Conduct practical driver skills assessments prior
to employment
• Testing and on-route evaluation of the drivers
• Remedial driver training when and where required.
• Clarifying terminology and using illustrations to
ensure understanding and learning of course content
• Assist in incident /accident investigations
when/where necessary
• Identify training needs from incidents/accidents
and recommend necessary training requirements to meet required performance
standards
• Ensuring that all material and delivery of
training material must be uniform and of a high standard
• Management of stationary requirements for training
sessions (manuals, pens etc.)
• Ensure training records are completed and sent
through to the HRD Centre as per training admin process
• Implement and stick to the set Training schedule.
