Introduction

To provide meaningful reporting evaluation, analysis, interpretation and recommended solutions to the Planning Team and Value Chain Stakeholders that is aligned with the achievement of the planning strategic goals and scorecards. Work alongside functional experts across the Value Chain in an integrated and collaborative way to identify opportunities for improvement of the Planning KPI’s through root causal and corrective analysis.

Job description

Ensure Planning needs are catered for by creating dynamic reports and data visualizations that provide insights to the Planning user community

Identify the core drivers/levers and segments that influence the movement of key Planning metrics/KPIs

Engage with central planning and category planning functional experts as well as key value chain stakeholders to focus on continuous improvement of the Foods Group Planning KPI’s

Timeous and accurate production of Foods planning reports which includes analysis, trends, and interpretation

Provide analysis and insights to support strategic projects and lead through data

Maintain current relationships with IT support areas including Foods BI and central IT

The ability to lead and manage reporting projects with a focus on being the translator between business and data

Train and support the Planning community in the use of reports, tools, and the interpretation of analysis results

Service ad-hoc requests for information within the required timeframe and specifications


Minimum requirements

Technical Competence:

 

Relevant qualification, i.e B. Com or equivalent with mathematics, statistics as majors

Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in the field of Analytics preferably in a retail environment

Reporting, data mining and data analysis experience

Ability to combine and analyse data from various sources and produce visual and/or exception-based output that portrays answers to business questions

Ability to draw insights from data analytics, summarize findings and make recommendations for improvement

The ability to turn data and/or insights into effective Foods planning solutions

Ability to work with large volumes of data

Data Visualization tools experience preferable (ie. Tableau/Qlikview)

Advanced Excel (with experience using graphs, pivots etc.)

Working knowledge of AWS & Redshift
